First the “and family”

and really quite gorgeous in the golden hour:

On probably the very last beautiful summer day this year I met Zoe. And just as the sun went down, this moment was caught, and I was reminded all over again why I love cameras and children, and the outdoors…and the combination of my 3 favorite things.

Introducing:

and:

Not the smallest twins or triplets I’ve photographed, but definitely in the top 3 smallest sets.
Sweet little sleepy brother and sister.

I love this next one so much…one very mad, one blissfully smiling. I think every parent of multiples can appreciate this scenario!

Twin feet, newborn bendy legs. So cute how brother’s toes are so much bigger than sister’s toes.

And my newest favorite image of newborn chicken legs. They never get old to me.

My shoes are still dripping wet from this session with these adorable 1 year old kiddos! Theme of the day (and pretty much all little guys): “Never stop moving, never slow down!” I love it.

Wonderful little 4 month old brother and sister pair! 4 months old is traditionally a difficult age to photograph, but these little ones came through with beautiful smiles for me.

You may recognize these adorable boys from earlier this summer. Several teeth later, and a bunch of new hair (for one of them!) later, they areeven more adorable, if that is possible.

I can never get enough of the sweet little twin interactions. They are always my favorite images.

Another beautiful baby in the evening light! Our lovely, warm summer evenings are nearing their end here I am afraid. They were so nice while they lasted, and I’ll be planning ahead for them next year, newborns at sunset all summer! You have about 1 or 2 months to start planning for a new summer baby.
I am also looking forward to the crisp autumn outdoor sessions in the coming months, I’ve been seeing some leaves turning already the last few days, I love fall…now back to baby Maddison:

Just look at this face!

First, the special giveaway: I would like to give away a family session to a local family going through a hard time with the health of a child or one of the parents. A family that could really use a pick-me-up and some extra special attention and memories captured right now. The session would take place this fall, and include $1,200 worth of photographic memories and goodies. Completely free to the family of course.
If you know of a family that fits this description, please shoot me an email, rebecca@catchlightsNW.com
And on to the photos…a recent session at the Pittock Mansion, a family with older kids! I photograph older kids just a few times each year, so it’s always a nice little change of pace.
Oh, it was also very fun to include their dog, a labradoodle I think it was? I have another session coming up with newborn twins and dogs that I’m also excited about, it’s fun to include pets in family photographs, I know I love looking back at photos of my own family with our past dogs, they really are members of the family too!

What a perfect little sleeper
This first image I’ve had in my head for quite some time, and finally got to set it up with little Kieran. It has the perfect “summer” feel, don’t you think?

Another sweet newborn smile
