Good times never seemed so good ~ A few in black and white of this beautiful brand new baby girl ~ I love these mother/daughter images, hope you do as well!

Baby girl Dalilah was (finally) born at 1AM this morning after…yes, you are reading this right…66 HOURS of labor. I was lucky enough to be present for about 30 of those hours. Simply amazing. I am still in awe.

Today is my youngest son Jonah’s first birthday! Jonah means “dove” in Hebrew, which is of course a symbol for peace. He is a beautiful, lively child who surprised us with his presence right in the middle of a very stressful time when our now 4 year old was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. He did bring us peace, and a whole lot of fun with his bright personality. He is a joy.
He had a little cake smash today, but didn’t enjoy it much:

And here is a little progression shot, from a few days old, to now. I truly love setting up these “before and after” photographs, I’ve just started doing them with clients this year.

I had the pleasure of photoraphing my first wedding on Saturday, along with my second shooter Amber. We had so much fun! It will take me a while to work through the 1,000+ photos, but here are the first few I grabbed, I’ll share a slideshow when I get the rest edited:
Watching the bride still at home:

Setting up for the ceremony:

Walking down to the garden, making sure groom isn’t watching:

A little moment right after the ceremony:

And one of MANY fun shots from the reception:

I wish he had been wearing some sunglasses for this shot. Maybe I’ll try and recreate it sometime. Wideangle fun in the sun.

I have an empty schedule this week so that I can catch up and prepare for a wedding next weekend, but I’m also committing myself to taking one fun shot a day.
By the way, any Portlanders needing something to do, you should be checking out the Waterfront Blues Festival. We had so much fun last night and I even miraculously ran into a very special childhood friend I hadn’t seen in years! We took the baby to watch Isaac Hayes, and he was promptly lulled to sleep. Then we bought some delicious cookies from a baker on the Max train on the way home. Good times had by all.

A quick before and after, not quite a year ago, and today:

Doesn’t get any cuter than this
