Ella turns 1!

I get asked all the time how I display photographs in my own home, and since I just recently updated some images of my own children in this sitting room, I thought I’d do a quick post sharing it. Excuse the terrible quality of this photo, this room is a dark cave and I had to leave the overhead light on. So, it looks 1,000 times better in person, but you can at least get the idea here! These are 20×20 mounted prints, framed with no glass (my preference). I took these in my studio a few weeks ago. My daughter is 8 years old, and my boys are 6 and 3, and are wearing their favorite fox coats for this winter!

I saw Micah and Xavier as little 1 month old premies a year ago, and oh boy how much changes in 1 year! Big, big boys now!

O, I think this is Micah, but I am not sure…he was really into phone chatting. Seriously adorable.

First newborn of 2011. Owen, 9 days old

Well, little Owen was born in 2010, but he was MY first newborn of 2011. And what a doll he was for me! Great way to start the year.

He eventually fell asleep, but spent a long time hanging out awake and content. Such a joy to see a new baby during their “quiet alert” time. Makes for great portraits.
