Byrne was such a wonderfully content little guy. Also a GREAT sleeper. It was a treat to get so many awake but content shots at our session.
We got such a huge variety I had a very hard time choosing which to do share on the sneak peek!

I wanted to share a before image of my new studio! This is the back wall. I’ll be ripping the carpet out right away, it has the original wood floors underneath…SO beautiful. Then painting, backdrop building, window coverings, new furniture and large new samples to decorate the high walls on the left hand side. It’s going to be gorgeous in there!
And I’ll post more beautiful families and babies soon I promise. Still catching up from my recent vacation to Whidbey sland with family.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Hello to all of my wonderful clients. It has been a wonderful and busy fall season and I enjoyed each and every one of our sessions this year. As always, thank you, thank you, thank you. For both referring your family and friends to me, and for continuing to come back and having me be a part of your children’s lives as they grow. I love my job, I know I say that all the time, but it is true…I really do.
After almost 4 years of working on-location in Portland, I have finally leased my first natural light studio. I’ll still be doing on-location work, but this will allow us to have a dry and warm place for sessions on these dark and wet winter days, and will also allow a nice central location for newborn and baby sessions with guaranteed great light. I can’t wait! I just got the keys today, so I’ll be working on beautifying for a few weeks and open the doors after the holidays. I’ll post photos of the progress soon for you as well. When I officially open, I will be running a really great special (for the rest of the winter before outdoor portrait season starts at the end of March) for studio mini sessions, so be sure to check in with me and especially tell your pregnant friends and family! I’ll be booking a limited number of each age group so I can really learn the new light with various aged kiddos, but would especially love to work on some maternity and newborn sessions so I can get some new “before and after the baby” studio samples.
And now in other news…do you remember my wall gallery giveaway earlier this year? I got to meet a lovely new client, Lynn, and her family of 5. 2 year old twins, and a new baby boy. Here is a photo of her finished and hung gallery. She went with the thinner wrapped canvas prints that require no framing. Beautiful, classic look. The largest canvases are 16×20’s, the middle sized are 11×14’s, and the smaller ones are 8×10’s. Please excuse my snapshot with glare! I will run another giveaway soon, still haven’t decided if it should be another wall gallery giveaway or a coffee table album, etc…feel free to chime in with ideas!

Finally, here are a few quick snapshots of a display I recently put up at an OB clinic in Emmanuel Hospital. It is in the non-stress test room, so hopefully it is making some very pregnant women smile while they sit strapped to the machines for 20 minutes
Left wall, back wall, and then right wall, when looking into the room:

I at least know it was making the nurses smile while I was hanging it, the concesus was, you all have BEAUTIFUL babies.
Sooooo cold! 2 three year olds and a 6 month old, SERIOUSLY good troopers here!

We had to force them to play, hahaha. The leaves were like ice!!

And what a beautiful little sweetheart she is growing into.

And in her Christening gown handmade by her Aunt

Delightful little brothers. One looks just like Mama, one just like Daddy.

Hilarious little ladies, had me cracking up at their expressions the whole time.

Tucker was trickier than the babies to get to look at me

Looove this one, is there anything better than baby skin?!

Didn’t fall seem to go by quicker this year than last? While we had those wonderful sunny few days I managed to fit as many of my scheduled outdoor families in as I could without collapsing! So glad I did, because the wind and rain is really here now.

I’ve been struggling to keep up with blog posts during this wonderful busy season. I have a handful of outdoor family sessions still to work around our weather, and then I’m diving right in to NEWBORN season! Single babies, twins and triplets, and I’m excited for each and every one of them. I’ll be announcing my next newborn promotion soon, a really wonderful giveaway I’m excited about, just as soon as I get caught up. I recently did school photos for a lovely private school which is taking up a bit of time, and then to complicate things, I had my identity stolen, and that has taken up even more time trying to sort out! I’ll get there, I promise.
Here is a lovely recent maternity with a not quite 1 year old soon-to-be big brother. So many adorable smiles from the little man.
